"Pixie Sugar Calcite" Microcrystalline Coated Calcite on Quartz from Nashik District, Maharashtra, India
This pocket was found in early 2025 in a mine in the Nashik District. The "sugar druze" all over the specimens is caused by Microcrystalline growth. Some of them have a pink hue, which is due to Hematite inclusions. The Calcite grew over Quartz.
